About Allison

For nearly 20 years, I’ve been partnering with change makers to help them develop the attitudes and behaviors they need at work to drive change in the world.

What sparked my interest in staff development? A pattern and a sense of possibility.

The pattern: Year after year, my colleagues and I were spending more time troubleshooting everyday workplace problems than tackling the urgent issues that brought us together. Our passion and subject matter expertise didn’t automatically translate into management and leadership know-how and we often struggled to resolve the workplace issues we faced. Our skill gaps were a vulnerability – they made us less effective change makers.

But the pattern presented a possibility. I imagined what we could achieve if our management and leadership potential was fully realized. What I imagined inspired me. And it set me on a path to use staff development as a tool to advance social change.
